Cornish Lugger gaff rigged ketch was the last 2 masted oyster dredger still working under sail in Porthleven (1975) and then converted into a cruising vessel. Built in Portleven 1904 vessel was imported into Australia in 1985. Currently berthed Cullen Bay Marina Darwin. Vessel has a 50hp Fordson Major and Paragon gearbox, several sails main, mizzen, jibs, storm and mizzen stay sail. Vessel is not hogged and is capable of being lifted by a travel lift or crane. Vessel is not currently sea-worthy and would require some refasting and corking of the topsides. The topside planks are in good condition. Below the waterline two short planks need replacement at the bow on the port side and one or two longer planks at the waterline on the starboard side. The planks at the waterline on the port side are new. If not sold locally would expect vessel to be transported at new owner's expense to destination. Current owner has owned vessel since 1985 and does not anticipate any more cruising. The vessel is also noted in the UK National Small Boat Register. An extensive article of the boat's history since 1975 can be found here http://www.mbla.co.uk/PDF/A%20Boy%20Willie%20-%20Copy.pdf

Unique opportunity for a classic timber vessel enthusiast that wants to engage in a project before cruising.
