Little wonder why the exclusive publication "World's Best Sailboats" has the Little Harbor 50 on their shortlist. Ishara has beautiful lines without doubt but she is also a superb yacht to spend time on and to sail - by any standards.

Custom built with moderate displacement, Ted Hood designed this centre board yacht to perform as both a quick, safe and seaworthy passage maker and while at anchor, a practical and luxurious haven below deck. She draws just 5'6" allowing access to small boat anchorages, but with centre board down and drawing 11', she powers to windward.

Ishara has been professionally maintained and continually upgraded. On board files contain all receipts and the full history since new. The most recent upgrades being totally new Whalespar rig/spars, Leisurefurl hydraulic boom system including near new fully battened Hood main, new fuel lines, Heart AC/DC management system, new wiring and all new 220ah battery bank. Most recent maintenance schedule (completed May/June 2018) includes service of Kohler genset and Perkins main engines, slip/antifoul and replacement of all anodes, topside polish, check of all through hull fittings and full rig check.

In boom furling main and non overlapping furling headsail combined with electric primary and hoist winches means Ishara can be sailed single handed. When the breeze is at the right angle, there is a new easy to launch/retrieve Hood gennaker. Docking and manoeuvring is simplified with a powerful bow thruster.

Below decks Ishara is all class. Stunning timber work is complimented with fine cream leather lounges that were renewed in 2014, the. Light and airy the interior has huge storage, excellent lighting and entertainment systems and a serious galley with separate freezer/fridge. Accommodation is in three ample cabins that each have private access toilet/shower.

At home around Pittwater or passage making offshore, this is a beautiful turn key cruising yacht with all the work completed and ready to head off to far away destinations at a moment`s notice.. Ishara distinguishes herself as a real yacht and her owner as a genuine yachtsman. To build a yacht of this capability and quality would be completely impractical these days. Because of her excellent condition Ishara therefore represents incredible value for her new owner.
