One of the most beautiful large catamarans sailing Australia's waters. Tora's traditional design is combined with current modern features, such as a racking aft section with in-built steps. A stainless steel ladder clips on to the starboard lower section, allowing swimmers easy access to the ocean. Her long waterline and full length short keels give her an extremely shallow draft, especially for a vessel her size, yet she points to wind just as well as a mono hull.
The hulls were originally laid in the late 70's - early 80's, but they were reshaped by adding a second skin from the waterline down, and lengthened in 2001. Under power with her twin Perkins Diesel motors, Tora is very manoeuvrable, and can turn on her own axis. Under sail, she is very fast and economical, reaching speeds of 18 knots. Internally, Tora is tastefully fitted out throughout, mainly in teak.
The ideal family yacht with which to cruise the Coral Reef and beyond. Hand laid fibreglass hulls. Fitted out throughout for extensive sailing and live aboard comfort for the 'ocean living' life style.
Double skined from the waterline down, mostly epoxy resin on woven glass cloth. Polyurethane foam filled from the floor line down making the vassal nearly impossible to sink. Five double cabins, full kitchen , two bathrooms, fully fitted out laundry / work cabin, lounge area (lounge pulls out to become a double bed), bar, chart room/ corner with an extra bunk, dining space with large teak table, cockpit and two large engine rooms.

Full sail wardrobe including furling foresails

Two 80HP Perkin Diesel motors (very few running hours)

Extensive electronics and navigation gear, mostly brand new

Hydraulic steering

Only 1.2m draft

Registered with the Australian Shipping Authority

'Caribdory' double skinned dingy (foam filled) with mast, boom, sail, rudder, ores, 25hp Mercury outboard + 9.9HP outboard ...etc

Solar panels...240/12v wiring....all lighting in LED, including Navigation lights

5kw Diesel powered internal generator

Inverter (sine wave)

Portable petrol generator (as new) (2500KW)

huge water tanks (approx 1000glns total)

inventory too vast to list fully

Recently the boat had under gone a complete refit, and this was not quite completed internally due to my ill health. I will consider selling the boat at a very much reduced price. Replacement value for a vassal this size and quality would be in the millions of dollars, and, I will also consider exchange or part exchange of suitable real estate.
