This Defiance 30 is solidly built in GRP to the classic Sparkman and Stephens half ton design. A great choice to run around the buoys as a club racer or twilighter, they also enjoy good stability and sea worthiness so you can sail offshore with confidence in any weather. This late built and well maintained Defiance 30 was launched in 1987 and is ready to go for summer sailing. She sleeps 5 in her bright and cheery interior with a folding dinette table, good headroom, a galley and an enclosed toilet, all you need for fun weekends away or overnighting. She has a good wardrobe of quality sails with a fully battened dacron mainsail with a boom bag and lazy jacks, four headsails, a Furlex furler and a spinnaker. She was re-rigged with new stainless steel wire in 2014. There is a suite of Raymarine electronics plus an Icom VHF radio transceiver and a GPS. Her cockpit is well protected by a custom spray dodger. This yacht is powered by a regularly serviced and economical Yanmar 20hp diesel with Saildrive and a 2 blade folding propeller. This engine was installed new in 2002 and has just 750 hours running time. This is definitely one of the better presented and equipped Defiance 30s we have seen. Noeleen 111, a well known yacht on Port Phillip since first launched by the fondly remembered Ken King in 1981, is now offered for sale. Designed as an IOR 1 Tonner by Kell Steinmann and superbly built in laminated timbers, she is still going strong and providing plenty of sailing fun. Once a successful offshore racer, she is now an ideal club racer and twilighter She is equipped with a strong fractional rig and some excellent sails including an easily managed asymmetric spinnaker, a Volvo Penta 28 HP diesel installed new in 2006, plenty of electronics including GPS with Plotter and a VHF radio. Safety gear is to Club racing level, approx Cat 6. Recent deck layout changes mean she can easily be sailed short-handed. Her wide, spacious and well laid out decks are so easy to work on and her 8 berth, roomy, varnished timber interior is a great location for post race parties or overnight stays at regattas. This iconic yacht once hosted some of the best parties in Victorian sailing history and many of Victorias offshore sailors sailed their first blue water races aboard her. If you are looking for a low budget, fun yacht to sail in club races or twilights with family and friends then this well known performer should appeal. FURTHER REDUCED - MUST BE SOLD For further information, inventory details or to arrange your inspection in Williamstown, please contact Chris Furey on 0410 551 977 or complete the on-line enquiry form
