Cole 23 Mark 1 Ocarina (1977/1978) Fibreglass trailer sailer Mercury 8Hp 2 stroke Manta tandem braked trailer (circa 77/78) There are many trailer sailors on the market however few are in presentable condition. If you are wanting to get away from the rebuilds and refits then consider this special boat that we are grateful for the chance to on sell to the next sailing family. About the Boat Ocarina is a Cole 23 Mark 1 manufactured by North Shore Fiberglass whom started building the Cole 23 in 1976. Ocarina we believe is a 1977/1978 build. For the past 20 years she has had the one owner in Central Queensland that have lovingly maintained her and stored her undercover. Ocarina has provided the family many unique experiences that many of us would never get the opportunity to explore around many of the reefs and islands in this area. As a keen diver, the owner fabricated a stern platform to allow him to suit up and a place for the children to wet their feet out of the cockpit. A man of many talents, he has also made the cockpit dining table as pictured the afternoon drinks and card games that would go well into the night under the stars.. (am I painting the picture?) Throughout the boat are numerous personal touches that this family have done to ensure the boat is practicable for its intended purpose of sailing the remoter areas and being comfortable aboard for than a night. The built in esky was upgraded to a refrigeration system, the water tank holds approx 60L of freshwater, additional power points added, and a dual battery system is wired up please note batteries are not listed or nor included) Her sail wardrobe has been upgraded with a very good condition Main Sail and Jib and she still has the original main / spinnaker and jib in workable condition. When at anchor and the main is dropped, the boom tent can be easily set up to offer some reprieve from the elements. Accessories and features are numerous, and we have tried to list some of them as follows: Humminbird sounder Navico autopilot GME 294 27MHz radio with aerial GME 558 VHF radio with aerial Stereo system Main sail (1 x original 1 x VGC) Boom tent Storm jib Spinnaker pole Spinnaker 2 x standard jib (one is in VGC) Mast raising device S/S staunchions Safety lines S/S pulpit & S/S pushpit Sliding hatch, storm boards, pop top Swing keel hydraulic lift (97 pumps) Windex direction indicator atop of mast Portable toilet Galley sink with hand pump and 60L approx. freshwater Metho stove 12v/240v refrigeration 2 power pints on transom feed power to batteries Set up for dual batteries but none fitted nor supplied Portable fuel tank approx. 24L capacity Folding cabin table above keel box Cabin lights Axillary outboard bracket Alloy trailer wheels Spare wheel Mechanical override trailer brakes On the Trailer She is trailered on the original Manta tandem axle trailer that features galvanized C channel which is probably why it has lasted so many years and presents in the condition its in. The trailer has mechanical over ride disc brakes and the boat is towed empty, with the outboard in the boot of the 4WD to keep her weight in check and she was towed down from Rocky on 4 new light truck tyres. Lets Go Sailing! If you are considering a TS the Cole 23 has an enviable reputation for their quality and sea-worthiness and we welcome you to make a time to come and inspect Ocarina - Please note we do not offer on water demonstrations, the boats are sold on an as is basis and we recommend that you employ the services of an experienced Surveyor to ensure the package and accessories meets your expectations and suits your intended use. No warranty is implied nor given. Trailer Sailer NB: Due to the second-hand nature of the rig, accessories, hull, fittings and sails- are sold in AS IS condition. No warranty is implied nor given. The purchaser is to familiarise themselves as to the 'fit for their purpose' and rely on a surveyor at their cost for hull condition. No 'On Water Demonstrations' are offered on trailer sailers. John Crawford Marine accepts late model trade-ins on all stock. The advertised price includes condition reports on the motor and trailer, PPSR title search and certificates, BIA 50/50 engine warranty, workshop pre-delivery, drop mast, boat wash and handover.
