Dream boats, drive-away deals, sailing craft and exotic charters are all part of the excellent Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show which, says David Lockwood, is shaping up to be cracker despite the doomsayers.The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show from May 21-24 is gaining irrepressible momentum. And even in these tough times, the event remains a key launch pad for local craft.
Allan Barnett Motor Yachts will have a new High Seas 63 foot long-range coastal cruiser with big cockpit; Perry Catamarans will showcase a motor-sailor version of the acclaimed Perry 57; and Maritimo will launch its 56 Cruising Motoryacht, as well as the Aegean 60, Aegean 55 (video hereabouts) and two smaller versions of the C60 Cabriolet - the C55 and C50 models.
Riviera will have a new 5800 Sport yacht and 3600 Sport Yacht Series II with Volvo Penta IPS, while Southern Clipper Boats will unveil a catamaran built around a frame of aluminium tubing. The hull cladding is polypropylene honeycomb foam said to be impervious to rot, fungus and sunlight.
