Arvor says its brand of boats, aimed at the serious fishing fraternity and pleasure boaters alike, now offer more choice with the release of a new expression of this popular design, Arvor 215.

Designed in Europe to handle the arduous conditions of the North Sea, the new Arvor 215 comes with a full walkaround layout, similar to the original Arvor 20.

And Australians will get to see the new model at the year’s major boat shows, kicking off with Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

The Arvor 215’s 6.36m hull is white like its predecessor Arvor 20, and is equipped with a 115hp common rail Cummins CMD diesel. The builder said the 215 has a top speed of more than 20kts, while the efficiency of direct shaft-drive helps keep maintenance costs under control.

Arvor said that among a wealth of smart features are: standard hydraulic steering; traditional emergency tiller steering that allows the boat to be driven at low speed from the stern deck while fishing; and, a state-of-the-art SmartCraft engine display system that places key information right at your fingertips. The latter is an innovative digital readout that integrates key information in one display, including fuel consumption, oil pressure, temperature and more.

Standard equipment includes: factory fitted electric windlass with an anchor locker and mooring cleats; lockable wheelhouse with large double berth, stainless steel handrails, interior light, VHF radio, compass and AM/FM CD player.

When the weather gets bad, Arvor said the 215’s huge huge self-draining decks ensure improved safety during fishing offshore or when the boat is on the mooring. At the stern you’ll find a livebait tank with electric pump, baitboard, swimplatform with stainless steel ladder, and an outboard bracket.

All the Arvor models will be at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (May 20 to 23), on stand number TP2.
