NEW HANSE 505 DETAILS RELEASED
The latest Hanse Yachts model will replace the marque's 495.
Following the successful release last year of the Hanse 575, Hanse Yachts has now unveiled details of a new model for the 50ft class.
The new boat is the 505, which Hanse says replaces the Hanse 495. The new model includes the traditional Hanse large bathing platform, coated in teak and featuring a wide range of flush-mounted light strips and portholes. The companionway is at the same 50° found in the Hanse 575, which Hanes says allows for anyone hopping aboard to enter comfortably, with no need to duck. The steering columns are equipped with pods with space for a plotter and two instruments, intended to improve the "easy sailing" concept even further.
Hanse also says the boat’s modern deck lines with a flat structure increase the living space below deck considerably and provide what it says is "an extraordinary level of luxury and comfort for the owner, his family and guests". Up to six cabins are possible, with a maximum of 11 berths plus saloon. On the port side, there is a choice between a large and spacious bath with shower and head, a version with bunk beds, or a multi-purpose room which can house anything from a washing machine to additional storage space, work surfaces, lifejacket cupboards or sailing clothing.
The Hanse 505’s interior is also based on its large sister ship, including the use of elegant materials on the panelling on the inner deck shell and the sidewalls, as well as the corner joints for all furniture made from solid wood.
Hanse says almost 1200 combinations are possible when factoring in variations of interior layouts, wood for the furniture and floors, upholstery and much more. Below deck, there is space for up to six comfortable cabins and up to three heads.
