BOAT OF THE MONTH EXTRA - Maritimo 60 Cruising Motoryacht

Built for extended liveaboard cruising, the Maritimo 60 Cruising Motoryacht Rhapsody has circumnavigated the continent in style, giving her owners the journey of a lifetime, and now it’s your turn.

Launched from Maritimo’s Gold Coast factory at Hope Island in 2008, the M60 is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 diesel engines of 1015hp each, with performance said to be outstanding. Vendor, SBM Maritimo Sydney, quotes a comfortable and economical cruise speed of 22 to 23kts and an exhilarating top-end speed of 31.5kts. With additional tanks, fuel capacity totals 7200lt making long-haul planning a breeze.

"Pure luxury is the best way to describe the vast saloon and generous three cabins on the Maritimo 60," said the dealership. Among interior highlights are two large L-shaped lounges and pneumatic dining tables forward of the gourmet galley that features dual Miele side-by-side fridges, Espresso coffee maker, and convection microwave.

Below decks is a master stateroom with en suite to port, while guests have the choice of a double-bunk cabin to starboard and a large island berth in the bow and shared bathroom.

"Finished to the highest standards right the way through her fitout, you won’t find a better equipped passagemaking cruiser in Australia," says SBM Maritimo Sydney.

Rhapsody has a full array of Raymarine electronics, including twin E120 12in screens for the GPS, sounder and radar paired with AIS tracking and gyrocompass, plus Simrad autopilot. Added features include watermaker, high-pressure washer, TracVision satelitte dome, bow and sternthrusters with remote control, davit, and transom pod with barbecue, sink and chill box.

SBM Maritimo Sydney says the customised fittings and details are what makes this boat a cut above the rest, including a lower helm conversion with plasma TV, dimmer lights, custom designed hydraulic swimplatform with rails and fittings, storage room with separate washer and dryer, and independent deep freezer. Completing the customisation are burl helm-dash panelling and an additional flybridge bedding configuration where block-out blinds convert this area into an additional guest or crew quarters.

"This truly stunning example of a Maritimo M60 is ready to take you on your cruising dream," said SBM Maritimo Sydney.
