Andrew Moore, from Sydney’s Andrew Moore Marine, tells us the Silverton 38 Sport Bridge is a 2007 model, and most importantly stressed was sold and delivered new in Sydney by the local dealers, so she is no grey import.

"As tested she was near $700K new. I have traded it and want it sold, so it’s a bargain-priced $279,000 and I will consider reasonable trades. It is here on the marina at the RMYC Newport for inspection," said Andrew.

Powered by twin 380hp Yanmar diesels (550 hours) with electronic controls and management systems, the Silverton 38 also features bow and stern thrusters, 10kVa Kohler genset, dual air-conditioning to the saloon and forward cabins, Dolphin watermaker, icemaker, sat TV and Blu-ray (forward cabin and saloon), DVD player in second cabin, and Raymarine electronics package with radar, GPS, sounder and Smartpilot.

"The accommodation can only be described as five-star luxury," Andrew said. "Cherrywood timber, Ultraleather saloon trim, plush carpets and granite galley and bathroom benchtops. All of neutral tones."

The bathroom is divided, the shower to port and the Vacuflush toilet and vanity starboard, servicing the two cabins, with an island bed in the main suite forward. The portside second cabin has side-by-side berths with an infill to create a large double. There is also a press-button three-seater settee in the saloon that converts to a double berth.

A cockpit stairway accesses the flybridge and is the focus for outdoor entertaining, with a choice of coffee or dining tables and a wetbar and fridge. Flybridge side doors lead to the sloping sidedecks with siderails to the foredeck and sunbed. Out the back is a large swimplatform with rail and the cockpit is sheltered by the flybridge overhang and enclosures, the icemaker fitted in a cupboard in the port side.
