With an expected 1000 vessels on display at this year’s Sydney International Boat Show, finding the perfect one has never been easier.

The Sydney International Boat Show celebrates its second year back at its Cockle Bay home and with an expected 1000 boats on display, it will be one of the best. 

Here are the 15 boats we are most looking forward to seeing at 2018 SIBS. 

LONGREEF 60 SX

Australia’s newest luxury brand is set to make waves at SIBS with the release of the 60 SX Flybridge. Designed with our local conditions in mind the 60 SX is engineered to be easy to operate, with striking external design elements that will stand out in our waterways. Internally the layout caters for six (plus crew), while the massive bridge centres around entertaining and taking in the surrounds. The 60 SX sits mid-range with vessels available from 50 to 90 feet.

An impressive sight at its launch earlier this year, the X60 is the result of extensive customer research. The culmination of this research is a bold statement with long sweeping lines that hint at performance. RIVIERA 39SMY

Making its world debut, the 39 Sport Motor Yacht (SMY) is the sister vessel to the impressive and recently-launched 395 SUV. Taking the broad shoulders and flowing lines of her bigger sisters, the 68 SMY and 72 SMY, the 39 is the smallest in the range and yet will be an impressive sight at the Cockle Bay marina. Designed with the family in mind, the 39 is powered by twin Volvo Penta D6s and driven by IPS500s, which will most likely ensure the 39 SMY will be a user-friendly ride.

RIVIERA 72 SMY

A new release for 2018, the Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht (SMY) is the flagship of the range, extending on the existing 68 SMYwith a larger cockpit and mezzanine. Designed with extended cruising and performance in mind, the 72 SMY features a 9000L fuel capacity and efficient shaft drives powered by twin V12 MAN power units that give the 72 SMY true Trans-Tasman range. The internal layout is customisable between a six-plus-crew or seven berth arrangement.

The all-new Greenline 39 is about sophistication in design, technology and efficiency. With an optional 10kw electric motor capable of up to 6.5kts, Li-Po battery bank and 1140kw of solar panels the 39 is one of only a few boats that you can call a proper hybrid. Making its world debut at SIBS is the V81, the largest of the V Series motor yachts from Horizon. Across the main level it features a formal dining area, separate lounge and bar within its well-appointed kitchen, making the V81 one of the most entertainer-friendly 25m yachts on the market.
