One boat to rule them all? This Maritimo flybridge cruiser is designed to handle any challenge her new owner might dream up.

Whether your boating dreams involve elegant harbour cruises or extended bluewater voyaging, there’s no doubt a Maritimo flybridge cruiser will fit the bill.

And there’s a reason the Gold Coast boatbuilders’ versatile 54-footer has quickly become one of the most popular in the range – the M54 hits the sweet spot between ease of handling for a couple, solid seakeeping ability and generous accommodation spaces.

Even better, this 2017 model represents the first of the genuine 54-foot Maritimos – identified by the inclusion of a fully-recessed swim ladder on the swimplatform which makes a perfect in-water perch while at anchor.

Timeless lines of the Bill Barry-Cotter designed hull are matched with shaft-drive reliability below the water and as seen in the photos hereabouts, that fully-enclosed flybridge helm offers commanding 360-degree views for the skipper.

Guests will be equally comfortable in the sociable upper cockpit with two lounges to choose from, plus a fold-out table, bar fridge and a second helm chair for the first mate to call the shots from.

At the wheel, all possible ship’s data is available to the captain from twin Simrad 19-inch touchscreens and sliding side windows are complemented by a luxurious overhead sunroof for that wind-in-your-hair speedboat vibe when conditions beckon.

The roomy aft deck is a popular spot for sundowners, but more extravagance awaits downstairs, via Maritimo’s signature interior staircase to the galley and saloon zone.

CHEF’S DELIGHT

The forward area of the saloon is dedicated to a lounge/dining space right next to the high-low LCD television, and hull windows here offer terrific water-level views, with sliding sections for crossflow ventilation, negating the need for air-con (and generators) in quiet anchorages.

The M54’s aft galley incorporates a full-size fridge and well-appointed pantry, plus a complete Miele appliance package, while the island bench makes life easy for eager chefs when preparing or serving meals.

From here it’s just a hop and a skip out through the bi-fold doors to the enormous aft cockpit and this clever inclusion connects what is essentially one huge alfresco zone designed for socialising with friends and family.

Outdoor entertaining in the finest Aussie tradition is made simple here with Maritimo’s incorporated Euro lounge and raw teak cockpit table, while an overhead awning extends out from the hardtop to keep the sun at bay.

If the fish are biting off the teak-laid swimplatform, there also is a stainless barbecue concealed nearby for cooking up your catch, along with a handy built-in fridge/freezer.

STRESS-FREE HANDLING

Docking your M54 is effortless and stress-free with the addition of an aft control station on the portside and a remote-control unit means even handling docklines is a simple affair if you’re caught short-handed.

Launching the tender is equally straightforward – a powerful davit on the bow will lift your launch clear of the water and a custom cradle keeps it securely stowed on the foredeck, ensuring the rear swimplatform remains clear at all times.

Sophisticated high-gloss timberwork lends a traditional feel to the interior of this vessel and this trend continues belowdecks in the accommodation spaces, which comprise a full-beam master stateroom, forward VIP double and a twin bunk cabin.

The beautiful master suite has an abundance of storage in drawers, hanging lockers and beneath the bed, which is cleverly set at 45-degrees – maximising available space.

The spacious mezzanine ensuite boasts a full-length mirror and vanity, while a daybed set under the opening portlights and a desk round out this stylish owners’ retreat.

It is often said in yachting that you’ll never find the perfect boat which ‘does it all’ but it’s fair to say this Maritimo M54 comes very close.

Powerful offshore cruiser or sophisticated entertainer; the choice is yours – this is one motoryacht that can handle everything you desire.
