Boat accessory-connection systems company, NZ-based Tallon Marine, has appointed Queensland’s Global Force Marine as its Australian distributor.

In announcing the appointment, Greg Urquhart, Tallon Marine business development manager said that Tallon was a dynamic, innovative and quality-focused company which was seeking a similar company in Australia with the same qualities as it.

These qualities, he said, were found in Global Force Marine with the added bonus that comes with the passion of directors Greg James and Mike Orsmond for the marine industry.

"Greg and Mike entered into the marine industry 15 years ago with Gemini Inflatables, and their success with the label attracted other business opportunities," said Tallon Marine in a press release. "Three years ago, the pair created a new company, Global Force Marine, to better serve the expansion of their marine related activities in a more suitable structure, which also had the potential to take Australian marine products to the world."

Tallon Marine said Global Force Marine now houses a wide array of product and services. Included in its product range are: Caribe inflatable boats; Aurora inflatables and marine accessories; ResQMax military equipment (border and security protection); Act Safe equipment (ascenders and other equipment for commercial use); and, Mariner Marine products from Mercury Marine.

Tallon Marine said Global Force Marine specialises in military, commercial and rescue equipment, and with the facilities mentioned below, is able to offer integrated, customised products to a number of different end users, local as well as international.

Global Force Marine has its own facilities located on the water, housed within the well known, Gold Coast City Marina at Coomera, and offer a wide range of services including: fully-fledged mechanical (integration and service) workshop; full-rubber manufacturing and repair workshop; manufacture and repair of fibreglass small parts; and, boat ramp and boat-lift for dry docking.

Distribution and sale of Tallon Marine products in Australia will be headed by Jacob Frampton, sales manager of Global Force Marine.
