Melbourne’s Streaker Boats has expanded its range with the launch of the 6100 Sirocco bowrider. The new model, which is a larger version of its sister boat, the 5700 Sirocco, is said to follow a general trend that sees boats getting larger.

The 6100 has a deeper bowrider section and a more generous cockpit than the 5700. Rated to carry up to seven adults, it also has increased storage including an underfloor Esky-type cooler, a huge underfloor ski locker, and a large compartment in the rear lounge. It can carry a four-stroke outboard up to 150hp or a two-stroke up to 200hp.

With a 20° deadrise fibreglass hull incorporating a flared bow, the Sirocco has a sharp entry and nicely proportioned bottom profile that is said to deliver a smooth ride, even in a short windblown chop.

"Our 6100 Sirocco bowrider is as close as you can get to the ultimate family boat," said designer, Leon Savage of Streaker Boats.

"A bowrider is going to be used in generally calm to choppy conditions, under clear sunny skies and with a boat load of people on board. This dictates the style and design of the 6100 Sirocco."

Other standard items include a sporty helm with plenty of electronics including CD / audio console and a Lowrance sounder; sports steering wheel with hydraulic steering; helm and passenger bucket seats that can turn 360°; and a rear lounge that’s broad enough to seat up to four adults. There’s also a stainless steel ski pole / baitboard; boarding steps with boarding ladder; carpeted floor; bimini canopy; and 184lt sub-floor fuel tank

Streaker is selling the 6100 Sirocco as a $62,490 BMT package including Yamaha 200hp VMAX outboard and Easytow trailer.
