Stabicraft Marine has announced that its 1750 Frontier model will see its Australian release at the 2011 Sydney International Boat Show and Brisbane Boat Show. The 1750 Frontier is a 5.25m (LOA) centre-console that Stabicraft says is designed to offer an open and clutter free layout while retaining stability and providing roughwater capability.

The boat features 3mm-thick continuous tubes consisting of individually sealed flotation chambers, providing what Stabicraft calls a "Life Ring" of 1515lt of buoyancy on the upper-outer extremities. With the addition of an airtight chamber between the floor and the hull, Stabicraft claims that its boats are "virtually unsinkable".

The design includes sidepockets along both sides of the cockpit, a dry storage locker under the helm console, and a padded 105lt Esky-type cooler bin seat. Other features include high gunwales, coaming grabhandles, six rodholders, a bilgepump and anchorwell. Options include a livebait tank, front console seat, hydraulic steering, paint and graphics.

The 1750 Frontier is rated for up to six adults and will take an outboard up to 90hp. It has a 2.15m beam and is said to have an approximate towing weight of 825kg. We’re told a package fitted with a major brand outboard in the 70-75hp range comes to under $38,000.
