In the aftermath of last weekend’s Brisbane Boat Show organisers say the event was a success despite the difficult economic climate in Queensland at the moment.

Over 100 exhibitors displayed their wares to the 16,000 people who visited over the four days. Organisers said the kids were entertained too, with interactive sailing demonstrations and a special Kids Marine Zone where they could catch
yabbies, see sharks and practice their casting.

Don Jones, CEO of Marine Queensland, said that despite significant economic challenges faced by the Sunshine State, "this year’s Brisbane Boat Show has stood as proof of the passion, strength and determination of the people involved in our industry."
