The 2013 Brisbane Tinnie And Tackle Show opens its doors today at the RNA Showgrounds. Having once again partnered with the National 4x4 and Outdoors Show, the three-day Club Marine-sponsored is billed by the organisers as "Two great shows for the price of one".

The show will feature enough fishing gear from dozens of exhibitors, so much so that the organisers say they have a dedicated building just for the tackle. "The Fishing Tackle Pavilion, with over 800m² of area dedicated to fishing tackle, will have literally tens of thousands of items for sale ranging from $1 to $1000.00," claim the organisers. Also on display will be a wide assortment of boats, 4WDs, camping and general outdoors and camping gear, and much more.

As with all good shows, there’s more to the event than just exhibitors. One of the highlights will be the almost constant presence of angler Paul Worsteling of iFish fame. One of Australia’s best known fishermen, Paul will have a busy schedule when he does live cooking demonstrations with chef Bart Beek on the Club Marine stage, educates young anglers at the Kids Marine Zone, and shares fishing yarns on the Fishing Expo Stage.

Children can be dropped off at free sessions at the Kids Marine Zone, hosted by 2 Bent Rods. Activities range from tying knots to rod casting to cast netting to a red claw catching session.

Not to be outdone, some of the adults will be competing in the Tinnie & Tackle Show BREAM Invitational, which the organisers say sees "10 of Australia’s best breaming teams hitting Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast for two days of bream tournament fishing mayhem."

As an added incentive, the organisers also have a $15,000 "Ultimate Adventure Pack" giveaway.

Entry is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors or students, and free for children under 15. $24 two-day adult passes are also available.

Show times are as follows:
· Fri: 9am-6pm
· Sat: 9am-6pm
· Sun: 9am-5pm
