SURTEES BOATS CELEBRATES 20 YEARS

Kiwi marque Surtees is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013.

The company was founded in Whakatane in 1993 by Neil Surtees after he had decided to build himself an aluminium fishing boat that could handle the rigours of New Zealand’s notoriously fickle — and often rather dangerous — conditions.

Two decades on, the company still calls Whakatane home, but its fishing boats are used far and wide, including by an increasing number of Aussie devotees.

To mark the occasion, Surtees recently released its new 8.5 Game Fisher — see the last issue of TrailerBoat (#293, April 2013) for our full review — and the company would like to send a big thank you to each and every one of its loyal supporters.

Visit www.surtees.co.nz for more information on Surtees and its products.
