QUICKSILVER 640 PILOTHOUSE REVIEW

Poised to enter the Aussie market is this impressive new 640 Pilothouse from Quicksilver, a model that promises to impress feature-hungry fishos who also appreciate a bit of comfort on their angling exploits.

The 640 Pilothouse measures in with an LOA of 6.52m and a roomy 2.54m beam. Rated for up to six people, it has a dry weight of 1060kg and a maximum power rating of 150hp. There’s a bilge pump in the engine compartment while hydraulic steering provides a light touch at the helm.

The sleek lines are backed up by a host of quality standard features, such as a self-draining cockpit, a full walkaround bow, and a livewell. The bright and airy lock-up cabin provides a cosy cocoon of protection should the weather turn on you and also accommodates two berths for overnighting, or even a nap.

Other nice touches include the picnic table, navigation lights, swim ladder, bow roller, bait board, rod holders and cockpit rod storage.

Quicksilver’s 640 Pilothouse will be distributed in Australia by Sydney-based firm Collins Marine, and will be priced from $56,637 with a 90hp OptiMax outboard.
